COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE FINANCE ASSOCIATE
Job Description:
The Commercial Real Estate Finance Associate will size, underwrite and close stretch senior mortgage and mezzanine loans. Job responsibilities will include:
Modeling commercial real estate cash flows in ARGUS.
Exporting cash flows into Excel to size and structure the loan.
Completing market research to produce underwriting assumptions.
Preparing loan approval documentation.
Preparing draft term sheets.
Coordinating third party due diligence.
Assisting with the negotiation of loan documents.
Preparing loan closing documentation.
Performing on-going asset management functions, including documenting additional advance approvals, loan modification approvals, and extension approvals.
Job Qualifications:
The Associate will have 3+ years of commercial real estate lending and/or debt fund experience. The Associate will have an undergraduate college degree, preferably with a major in a quantitative and/or financial discipline, or an MBA.
The Associate should:
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Be comfortable producing ARGUS property cash flows.
Be adept in modeling complex lending structures in Excel.
Be an independent worker.
Be able to complete tasks within a deadline.
Possess very strong attention to detail.

Commercial Real Estate Loan Originator
Job Description:
The Commercial Real Estate Loan Originator will source and close stretch senior mortgage and mezzanine bridge loans. Job responsibilities will include:
Serving in a senior client relationship role, covering middle market commercial real estate borrowers, to source, originate, and asset manage bridge loans.
Networking with borrowers and brokers, and attending industry conferences and events, to further network and source opportunities.
Managing loan sizing, structuring and underwriting process.
Preparing and negotiating term sheets.
Submitting loan approval documentation and memos.
Negotiating loan documents and managing loan closings.
The Loan Originator will manage a junior resource in:
Preparing preliminary loan sizings.
Modeling commercial real estate cash flows in ARGUS, and exporting cash flows into Excel, to size and structure the loan.
Completing market research to produce underwriting assumptions.
Preparing loan approval documentation and memos.
Coordinating third party due diligence.
Preparing loan closing documentation.
Performing on-going asset management functions, including documenting additional advance approvals, loan modification approvals, and extension approvals.
Job Qualifications:
The Loan Originator will have 7+ years of commercial real estate lending and/or debt fund experience with a track record of successful loan origination. The Loan Originator will have an undergraduate college degree, preferably with a major in a quantitative and/or financial discipline. An MBA is not required, but preferred.
The Loan Originator should:
Have excellent commercial real estate credit skills.
Have a broad network of commercial real estate borrower and broker relationships on the west coast.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be very adept quantitatively.
Be comfortable reviewing ARGUS property cash flows.
Be facile in reviewing complex lending structures prepared in Excel models.
Possess very strong attention to detail.
Lead a team in closing loans.
Mentor junior team members in learning the business.
